‘Cam Bounty’ is an unusually good white Oriental Lilium Hybrid with warm red bands and spots and a lemon flare around bright green nectaries.
‘Cam Bounty’ is a very bright, eye-catching lily and consequently makes a serious impact in the garden.
Growers may expect up to 15 large, flat-faced, out-facing to pendant, flowers on sturdy stems to 1.3 mt. Strongly perfumed, vigorous, easily-grown and most attractive, these lilies will reward you. Flowers tend to infuse with more pink as they age.
Like many good garden lilies, flowers are out-facing, and therefore better equipped to survive inclement weather and go on giving. This also allows easier viewing of the beautiful flowers in garden situations. Most importantly, secondary buds on mature stems just keep on opening, so flowering continues for 3-4 weeks. A great summer garden performer.
Planting around 150 mm deep in acid soils (pH 5.5 to 6.5) with good drainage is recommended to get the best from Oriental Hybrid Liliums. A good mulch will help keep the root system cool through the heat of summer and retain moisture. Full sun to half shade.
Bred from Japanese species lilies and showing strong influences from Lilium auratum, the famous Golden Ray Lily, ‘Cam Bounty’ will soon become a favourite in your garden.
